Join us for an exciting one-day STEM holiday program exclusively for Western Power employees’ children, where students will take on the role of future Martian settlers! Through hands-on experiments, engineering challenges, robotics, and drone exploration, participants will learn about Mars' extreme environment and develop problem-solving skills to tackle the challenges of space exploration. This immersive program is tailored for children aged 5 to 12 years old who are curious about science, technology, and adventure! Program Highlights: Understanding Space & Mars -Discover Mars’ environment and the challenges of human settlement. -Learn about space travel, engineering constraints, and resource management. Engineering & Problem-Solving -Design and build a Martian habitat using craft materials. -Develop critical thinking skills to address real-world challenges like oxygen supply, food production, and radiation protection. Practical Robotics & Drone Skills -Navigate drones through space-themed obstacle courses simulating a journey to Mars. -Use robots to transport and deploy habitats in a simulated Martian landscape.
