This program is ideal for students with a basic background in coding and an interest in technology. Join us this September at UWA for an exciting and educational 2-day holiday program designed for tech-savvy students eager to explore the worlds of JavaScript and Python programming. In collaboration with Squadrone, this program offers a unique opportunity to dive into coding, robotics, and drone technology, combining creativity, innovation, and hands-on experience. What You'll Do and Learn: 1. JavaScript Programming with Sphero BOLT: Students will learn the basics of JavaScript programming by creating an interactive map of a miniature Perth Royal Show. They'll code Sphero BOLT robots to navigate, interact with attractions, and even create personalised show experiences using sensor-based activities. 2. Drone Flying & Python Programming: Participants will get hands-on experience flying Tello drones while mastering Python programming. They’ll learn to control the drone, perform advanced manoeuvres, and design custom flight missions, all while understanding the principles of flight control and asynchronous commands. Learning Outcomes: 1. Programming Skills: Enhance coding abilities with practical applications in both JavaScript and Python. 2. Problem-Solving: Develop strategies for navigating complex environments and overcoming technical challenges. 3. Event Planning & Mission Execution: Learn how to plan and execute interactive experiences and drone missions. 4.
