Service Description
This July, Perth becomes the launchpad for future drone innovators. Hosted at the St Andrew's Grammar School and St Columba's Catholic Primary School, the 2025 RoboPro World Robot Contest (WRC) Youth Drone Tournament invites students to dive into the world of drone technology, competition strategies, and hands-on STEM learning. Participants will: 1. Learn about drone components, flight principles, and essential safety protocols 2. Practice advanced manoeuvres including hovering, zig-zag navigation, and speed control 3. Understand official WRC (FTF) competition rules and tactics 4. Train on race tracks with timed challenges designed to boost agility, accuracy, and problem-solving skills This training prepares students to compete in real-world-inspired drone challenges and develop confidence in both flying and STEM thinking. Session Date (Three-Day Training) Dates: 9, 10 & 11 July (Wed - Fri) Fee: $585 Time: 9:00 AM – 3:30 PM Venue: Refectory Building, University of Western Australia The program fee includes full use of drones for both training and the official competition day. If you would prefer to bring your own drone for practice and competition, please leave us a note when registering. In this case, the cost will be adjusted to match our regular holiday program rate. Please bring your own lunch and water bottle. Open to students aged 6+ with an interest in drones and STEM. There is no background knowledge required.
